Blue Tunes #4

If you have been following this section, you will know that given we are called Bluestone, we thought it only fitting that each week we dig out a track that has the word ‘blue’ in its lyrics or title.

What better way to start the working week than with some music?

Upon request from one of our readers (yes, that’s you Pat!) we have dug out this 1970s country gem from Emmylou Harris, Blue Kentucky Girl.

It even includes genuine 1970s static at the start of the clip.

Great to see Emmylou Harris is still producing fantastic music 30 years later…click on the image to listen.

Blue tunes #2

Given we are Bluestone, each week we are going to dig out a track for our Blue tunes – songs that have the word ‘blue’ in their lyrics or title.

Last week we kicked off with a classic track from Linda Ronstadt.

This week, something very chilled…a cover version of the New Order song, Blue Monday, by the wonderful Flunk.

Blue tunes #1

Who doesn’t need a little music in their life now and then?

Given our name is Bluestone, we figure it is only appropriate to choose some music that features the word ‘blue’ in its title or lyrics.

Once you start looking, it is incredible how many songs have something to do with blue.

Here is our first choice – relax and have a listen…
